The Design Process: Sketches
All great sculptures start their existence as a mark on a piece of paper – this is the same here at Alex Orso. Each piece from the Alex Orso collection has been meticulously thought-out, planned and measured. Each surface and its finish have been considered, with every angle, curve and line drawn out by hand – the absolute definition of ‘detail defined’.
Each sketch is like a map, outlining the contours and form of each piece. This process of sketching the product not only creates a beautiful piece of art in its own right, but also ensures that each piece is of an exceptional quality and has the desired proportions – each sketch serves as a foundation and reference point for each piece.
